Chairman

David Mareček

Has studied piano playing and conducting at Janacek Academy. During his studies he was working at international master courses with renowned and famous pianists and pedagogues. He has performed as a soloist and chamber music player in the Czech republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, France and Finland. He has been teaching the piano since 2003 at Brno Conservatory and in January 2007 he become director of Brno Philharmonic orchestra. At present he is a director of Czech Philharmonic orchestra in Prague.

 

 

 

Members

Joanna Domaňská

Professor of Academy of Music in Katowice, member of jury at Polish and international piano competitions and lectures at masters courses. Laureate of international piano competitions: M. Long – J. Thibaud in Paris 1981 and A. Casagrande in Terni, Italy 1982. She is an outstanding interpreter of Karol Szymanowski works. Her last CD ( DUX 0615) was honoured by „ Pizzicato Supersonic Award“  Luxembourg 2008-one of the most valuable awards worldwide. 

 

 

Marco Fatichenti

Sergio de Simone

Marco Fatichenti is an internationally acclaimed performer and recording artist who has appeared in some of the most prestigious venues across Europe and the United States.His performances include broadcasts by the Spanish RTVE, Irish RTE, Polskie Radio, and several BBC appearances. Active both as recitalist and chamber musician, Marco is also an educator who is committed to promoting music and its societal value among diverse audiences. He is currently researching performance practice of Spanish and Catalan piano schools in early twentieth century at King’s College London.

 

 

Jan Jiraský

Jan JiraskýIs a graduate from JAMU ( Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts) in Brno and laureate of international competitions (Beethoven’s Hradec, Smetana Competition – Karlovy Vary, Darmstadt, Noyers, Novi Sad, Kiev). In the course of his master’s and doctorate degree studies he became a sought-after soloist of both Czech and foreign orchestras and a guest of festival stages. He has recorded a number of CDs (ArcoDiva, Radioservis, Antiphona, Musica) and has performed several repertoir cycles, among others 18 Mozart piano sonatas in four recitals, playing both modern and historical instruments. He teaches piano at the Faculty of Music at JAMU and is the head of the keyboard department there. 

Christiana Perai

Christiana Perai

Studied in Graz (AUS) and Oberschützen, also in USA at Eastman school of music. She is a member of the Austrian Art Ensemble, performs as a soloist and in a duo, also plays chamber music. She has been performing in different countries all over the world; has also performed at „Festival for Contemporary music“. Mrs Perai has been a piano teacher at the Universit of Graz (KUG) since 1981.
